The Parity.Planner is a paper product, in a digital age, for a reason.

Findings of a study published by the Association for Psychological Science indicates that we absorb information, particularly key information, better when taking notes by hand. It appears that participants in the study writing by hand were more selective, perhaps more ‘mindful’, about the notes they took than those writing on laptop, who were more likely to write notes exactly as they heard it.

It’s also been noted that just the simple act of writing your goals down can help achieve those same goals. Vividly describing your goals in written form is strongly associated with goal success, and people who very vividly describe or picture their goals are more likely to successfully accomplish their goals than people who don’t. This is down to writing things down kicking off various processes within the brain – encoding, the generation effect.
