When you request a free Parity.Planner product, such as our free Travel Planner or Kids’ Journal, to be sent to you via email, you will be given the choice to remain on our mailing list even after we have sent the product to you. Cookies

Cookies are text files containing small amounts of information which are downloaded to your personal computer, mobile or other device when you visit a website. Cookies are then sent back to the originating website on each subsequent visit, or to another website that recognises that cookie. Cookies are useful because they allow a website to recognise a user’s device.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. Parityplanner.com limits the login attempts by IP in order to protect the site from malicious attacks. However, all recorded IPs are obfuscated in order to protect privacy.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

The Parity.Planner website contains links to other third-party websites and uses social media features. These features may collect information about your IP address and which page you are visiting on our website, and they may set a cookie to make sure the feature functions properly. Social media features and widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our website. We also maintain presences on social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. These sites are not governed by this Privacy Policy, and if you have questions about how a site uses your information, you will need to check that site’s privacy statement. Parityplanner.com is not responsible for any cookies on other third-party websites.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns on our website. This information is processed in a way which does not identify our visitors, and we do not make, or allow Google to make, any attempt to discover the identities of those visiting our website. If you would like to opt out of Google Analytics, Google provides a browser add-on that allows a user to opt-out of receiving Google Analytics cookies.

If we do wish to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will make this clear and will explain what we intend to do with the data we collect.

Who we share your data with

We do not rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses. Depending on the services you interact with, we may share you data, only as required, with 3rd parties required to complete delivery of those services e.g. payment details shared with payment processing services such as PayPal.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. Email your request to our Data Protection Officer at dataprotection@paritybit.uk.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
